Heico announced that is has completed the acquisition of Costello/April Design Incorporated ("C/A Design").
C/A Design is a manufacturer and supplier of engineering services, compact heat exchangers, precision machined components, and electronic enclosures to a variety of aerospace customers. Headquartered in Dover, New Hampshire, the company joins Heico's existing Wakefield-Vette operations as another supplier of highly engineered thermal components for critical applications.
"The strategic acquisition of C/A Design is an excellent complement to the portfolio of thermal management businesses within Heico," Steve Frediani, President and CEO of Heico’s Ancra Group, explained. "The addition of C/A Design will give us a strong foothold in a variety of industrial and aerospace thermal management industries."
Since 1993, C/A Design has been a premier designer and manufacturer of highly engineered products and has expansive experience with heat exchanger and electronic enclosure designs that require vacuum and dip brazing manufacturing processes. The company can also design and manufacture solutions to meet cooling needs and has design experience with cold plates, heat sinks, oil coolers, chassis brazements, and more.
"While each of Heico's businesses run on a stand-alone basis, the various companies within the thermal management hardware space share resources and best management practices, in a concerted effort to push our industry forward," Frediani added. "The addition of the C/A Design team, products and services will further enhance our capability and commitment to deliver the innovation, quality and services our customers deserve."
Heico's acquisition of C/A Design expands its thermal management product portfolio, adding superior vacuum and dip brazing capabilities and furthers its expansion into military and commercial aerospace applications.
