Woman Owned Business Enterprise

Woman Owned Business

Meeting today’s challenges means commitment, hard work, and the desire to exceed expectations.

We are proud that our operations are certified as woman owned, operated, and controlled in those countries that formally recognize this important classification.

Emily Heisley Stoekel

Emily Heisley Stoeckel is a businesswoman, a mother, a wife, and the Owner and Chairman of The Heico Companies with 74 operating companies across the globe. Emily provides strategic direction to the organization and leads The Heico Companies’ Board of Directors. Her dedication has led her to devoting more than 20 years to the growth and development of The Heico Companies’ diverse portfolio of companies. Today, The Heico Companies continues to follow Emily’s belief that meeting today’s challenges means commitment, hard work, and the desire to exceed expectations.

We heard about WBE certification through a construction customer who recognized Emily’s ownership and operation of her companies as eligible for WBE certification. After learning more about WBENC, the WBE community and their commitment to supporting women-owned companies, Emily decided to pursue these certifications to support our diversity-committed customers.

Now, The Heico Companies’ family of certified WBE’s provides diversity in previously under-served industries, directly serving aerospace, construction, automotive, tire and rubber, oil & gas, transportation, utilities, wire & cable, HVAC, military, and many more industries.

By including women-owned businesses in their supply chains, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity, driving economic competition, providing platforms for innovation and partnerships, and continuing the development of their Supplier Diversity programs. With The Heico Companies, diversity-committed corporations and public sectors can find diverse suppliers from our family of Women’s Business Enterprises, whose vast manufacturing and engineering product capabilities offer innovative solutions and long-term partnerships.

About WBE Certification

The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is the largest certifier of women-owned businesses in the US and a leading advocate for women business owners and entrepreneurs. Women’s Business Enterprises Canada Council (WBE Canada) is a non-profit organization led by Corporate Members that is opening doors for Canadian women-owned businesses to supply chains across North America.

WBENC’s and WBE Canada’s national standard of certification is a meticulous process involving an in-depth review of the business that is seeking certification. The certification process is designed to confirm that the business seeking certification is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women. As The Heico Companies’ family of WBE’s in the US and Canada individually hold a WBE certification, each of The Heico Companies’ businesses is able to engage in the Supplier Diversity network and better support and partner with customers by helping them meet their Supplier Diversity objectives.

The Heico Companies is proud to be part of the WBE network through the certification of our US and Canadian companies by the WBENC and by WBE Canada. Emily is an inspiration and respected leader running 36 and growing WBE-certified entities in the United States and Canada. The Heico Companies is grateful to WBENC, its Regional Partner Organizations, and WBE Canada for facilitating innovative and creative connections between women-owned companies like ourselves and diversity-committed corporations.
