Acquisition of KaRo GmbH

The Heico Companies announced that it has completed the acquisition of KaRo Kanal- und Rohrreinigungsmaschinen GmbH ("KaRo GmbH").

KaRo is a market leader in the field of drain and sewer cleaning equipment in Germany. The company manufactures and distributes mechanical spiral and spring machines, high pressure jetting systems, fully equipped turn-key vehicles, and inspection and detection systems. Based in Huckeswagen, Germany, KaRo joins Heico's existing Rior-Rioned BV operations providing specialized sanitary equipment for the European plumbing and institutional markets.

"Rior-Rioned's partnership with KaRo dates back many years with KaRo having been the exclusive distributor for Rior-Rioned products in Germany for over 30 years" says Jan Pieters, Managing Director of Rior-Rioned. "The acquisition will further strengthen our position in the market and allows us to develop new initiatives that will benefit both companies."

Heico's acquisition of KaRo expands its global manufacturing and distribution footprint in the industry, and allows for continued product and service innovations including the development of compact high-pressure jetting/vacuum combination units and the introduction of a rental business for high pressure jetting and other drain cleaning machines.
